Each year 80-100 Swimmers age 10&Up Escape Their Limitations in the Alcatraz/Golden Gate Bridge Swim organized by the Neptune Swimming Foundation.  April 6-7, 2024 is the 17th Annual Alcatraz/Golden Gate weekend to benefit water safety and drowning prevention.  This is the only SF Bay event geared towards age group and senior swimmers age 10&up, with nearly 1000 swimmers completing the event since 2006.  Saturday 4/6 is the 1.4-mile swim from Alcatraz to SF's Aquatic Park.  Sunday is the 1.2-mile swim Across the Golden Gate Bridge.
